Re: How Can You Be Excited About The Celtics When....

I learned about the Celtics from my mom, who was (and remains) a big Bob
Cousy fan.
I learned aboutRed, Russell, Heinsohn, and so many more.
I listened to Johnny Most telling me that Havlicek stole the ball.
I agonized through the times in the 70's when the C's were in the dumpster.
I saw Larry Bird, Robert Parrish, and Kevin Mchale.
I saw Bill Walton play like a 19 year old for one grand season with Boston.
I was sad to see Larry and his teammates retire.
I grieved when Reggie Lewis and Len Bias died.
I was thrilled when we got Antoine Walker and Paul Pierce.
I was shocked when Pierce was attacked.
I was proud as Pierce fought his way to an incredible season.
I was aggravated by Rick Pitino.
I was proud of Jim O'Brien encouraging the team to within inches of a
playoff spot.
THAT'S how I can be excited about the Celtics. THEY'RE MY TEAM.
