Re: Game Plan
<< As far as finding that bargain big man, who do you have in mind? There's a
lot of interest here in that same plan. Why don't you go to the homepage and
start a poll? Throw in some of the names of players you'd like to see here

Toronto is overstocked with front court players and is looking for backcourt
help; epsecially a 3rd PG because all they have is Alvin Williams and Chris
Childs. I'd LOVE to see the C's pry Brian Skinner away from them in exchange
for a sign and trade deal involving Chris Carr. Skinner is making a modest
$1.48M or so and is in the final year of his Rookie (1st rounder) contract.
Coincidentally, $1.44m is the unrenounced cap value of Chris Carr. It would
be a match made in heaven for both teams. Randy Brown might be attractive to
them if he was healthy but a straight up one for one deal wouldn't work
because of Brown's salary.
Another deal that would work after Dec.15 is Palacio for Mamadou N'Diaye also
with Toronto. N'Diaye has been getting good reviews in the Raptors camp thus
far and is only making $793,221 this season. The C's would instead keep
Herren if they could move Palacio. Because herren doesn't have a guaranteed
deal for the entire year, the C's couldn't offer him instead of Palacio.
Miami is reportedly interested in Herren if he gets cut.
Keon Clark, another Toronto front court player, might also be available.
