Mourning and Grant

Looks like neither one of them is a good investment right now.

MIAMI -- Miami Heat center Alonzo Mourning, struggling to recover from an
illness that sidelined him last week, will miss at least three more games.

Mourning didn't accompany the Heat to New York for Thursday night's game
against the Knicks.

To compound problems for the struggling Heat, forward Brian Grant will miss
at least five games with a bone bruise to his right instep. Also sidelined
is guard Rod Strickland, who has a hamstring injury.

Mourning appeared sluggish in two games after returning from his illness,
which sent him to the hospital for five hours Nov. 6 and caused him to lose
7 pounds. Doctors aren't sure whether the ailment was food poisoning or a
viral infection, but they decided he returned too soon and needs at least a
week of rest.
