Re: Trade idea

Check these out:
If Portland wants to trade Dale Davis, could they get a big man more
suited to banging with Shaq, than our own Vitaly Potapenko? A recent article
said they were also wanting to move Damon Stoudamire. I've always liked him.
His salary is egregious, but so is Kenny's. I doubt if Portland would want
Anderson back and I don't know how many years Stoudamire's contract runs, so
I ran the trade with and without the point guards. I'd do it both ways.
By the way, the trade would be held up until Dec. 15th, because of rookie
Randolph's signing date.

Portland trades: Dale Davis $7,010,000 to Boston

Portland trades: Zach Randolph $1,019,400 to Boston

TOTAL: $8,029,400
Boston trades: Eric Williams $4,448,000 to Portland

Boston trades: Vitaly Potapenko $4,762,500 to Portland

TOTAL: $9,210,500

TRADE ACCEPTED
Due to Portland and Boston being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is
invoked. Portland and Boston had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of
the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here.
This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Boston would also receive a trade exception of $1,181,100 with this trade.
This would have to be used within one calendar year from the date of this
trade.
Be aware that this exception will be extinguished if the team which
possesses it falls below the cap by the combined amount of the exceptions it
currently possesses.

Actually, Kenny was pretty well liked by the fans of Portland. However,
they already have a point guard controversy, and taking him back would
mean admitting that their pursuit of Stoudamire was a big mistake (It
was, but why would they admit it).
