Dampier's not a free agent. The article was just saying that he stunk.

Marc Jackson probably falls under the restricted free agent category..
Golden State can match any contract offer up to a certain amount, similar
to Brad Miller's situation with Charlotte. So I don't think we have a shot
at him, with only our exception to work with. The speculation is that one
of the teams with cap room will make an offer that GS can't match, similar
to what Chicago did with Miller.
