The Celtics Will Be Disappointed

The guy they apparently coveted in the draft (from other reports):
Rodney White is putting on quite a performance
at his agent's Southern CA workout

In other Sportstalk, in their Mock Draft, they  project the
C's to take Gasol and....

10. Boston Celtics
Likely picks: Pau Gasol, Michael Bradley, Brendan Haywood
The Celtics will likely have three picks in the first round this year.
Expect one of those picks to
be a point guard (possibly the 11th from Denver) to replace Kenny
Anderson. With their 10th
pick look for the Celtics to zero in on Spain's Pau Gasol.  Gasol is
already being compared to
Dirk Nowitzki, Toni Kukoc and even Kevin Garnett. He has the size (he's
7-1) and shooting
range that teams love.  However, he has one more year left on his
contract with FC Barcelona
meaning the Celtics would likely have to wait a year before getting
him.  But give that they have
two more picks in the first round, they may be able to afford the wait.

If they pass on Gasol, they'll take a look around to see if Rodney White
is available.  If he isn't
don't be surprised to see the Celtics take Villanova's Michael Bradley.
Bradley is fundamentally
sound, has a scorer's touch and gives them some size up front. The
Celtics, in their never
ending search to find a real center (sorry Mr. Battie) will also look at
Brendan Haywood and
Loren Woods.
