Q: Talk about the European talent available in this draft.

Wallace: There will be three of four European possibilities in the first
round this year. As usual though, there're contractual hang-ups with
some of these players that you may not be able to get for a year or
more. That makes selecting them a dicier proposition at certain points
of the draft than it does with their American counterparts.

Q: You like the Spaniard Pau Gasol.

Wallace: Saw him play last week. But Pau is another player that has a
contractual problem, so he may not be able to get over here for a year.
I think he is definitely worthy of a selection at the lottery level of
this draft. Whether a team wants to take a chance remains to be seen.
