C's Not Actively Pursuing A Trade....and more news

- Shira Springer will tell us via Chris Wallace that the Celtics
are not actively pursuing a trade at the moment - luxury tax
is a concern, but trade talks usually become more concentrated
by draft time.

- Top six picks  (order yet to be determined),
 according to Peter May:

Tyson Chandler
Shane Battier
Eddie Griffin
DeSagana Diop
Eddy Curry
Kwame Brown


- Leo Papile is real enthused about the draft. Says  there may
be "35 viable candidates for the top 21 spots."

- Lots of small forwards and big guards available in the draft.
Just what the Celtics need.

- Chris Wallace was scouting Pau Gasol in Espana last week.

- It seems likely that Red Auerbach will be renamed President
in June. Get that tax cut going President Auerbach.

- Speaking of Pau Gasol, if he's projected to go high enough
that he can buy out the last year of his contract, he'll remain in
the draft.
