Wow! Boston Herald Early Draft Positional Breakdown
Not posted on the web, so don't expect me to write out the
whole thing - you receive a synopsis. It's a different analysis/
rankings than what you usually see, so there may be more
veracity to it.
PG:
Guess who's rated the fifth best point guard?
1. Dujuan Wagner
2. Kenny Satterfield
3. Omar Cook
4. Tony Parker
5. Yes, Jamaal Tinsley
Of Wagner they say: "Compared to Allen Iverson and Steve Francis."
Hell, if he's in their class, it would be foolish for the C's not to
gobble
him up at 10/11, not that he'll actually be available.
Of Parker, it's said: He turned heads as far back as 2000 Hoop
Summit.
And all you Tinsley people, here's reality: "A gifted ballhandler, but
has limited athleticism." They should have added, he can't shoot
and won't provide any scoring.
I am surprised that Satterfield is rated that highly; says the Bronx
native
is a "draft keeper." Who knew....
SG/SF: They ranked small forwards and shooting guards together,
and it's a shocker. Guess who's the top ranked SG/SF?
I'll start from the bottom:
7) Joe Forte - Says: improve ballhandling skills and ability to create
shot in halfcourt, but great transition scorer.
6) Jeff Trepagnier: "The best athlete in the draft." Wow!
5) Tayshaun Prince: Been called a left-handed Reggie Miller.
4)Joe Johnson: "Big upside." Also strong ballhandling skills
for his size.
3) Shane Battier: Somewhere in top 10.
2) Jason Richardson
And the Number One SF/SG in the draft is:
S
P
O
I
L
E
R
S
1) Rodney White: Superb athlete with game moving out to the
perimeter. Holy cannoli.
PF:
Gues who's the third best PF in the draft?
1) Tyson Chandler: Rasheed Wallace comparisons.
2) Eddie Griffin
4) Zach Randolph: "left-handed post-up assasin"
5) Troy Murphy: tough, versatile, good shooter.
And the Number 3 ranked PF is:
3) Pau Gasol: Committed to one more year of the Spanish League,
but worth the wait.
Centers:
1) Curry
2) Brown
3) Diop
4) Haywood you rebound.
5) Sam Dalembert
Quite the rankings. Get on that Rodney White bandwagon.....
