Auburn sophomore Brewer declares for NBA draft

AUBURN, Alabama (Ticker) - Auburn sophomore Jamison Brewer on Monday declared for the NBA draft but will not hire an agent.
Brewer led the nation's point guards in rebounds with 7.2 per game last season. The 6-5, 180-pounder also averaged 8.4 points and led the Southeastern Conference with 5.8 assists per game.
``I want to check my draft status by testing NBA waters,'' Brewer said. ``I love Auburn University and would be very excited to return to Auburn for my junior year.''
Brewer has until June 20 to remove his name from the draft list. He is the 41st underclassmen to make himself eligible for the June 27 draft.

Hmmm; here's another one. A 6'5" point guard.
Brewer is  a player I'd like to see. Rebounds and passes. Wouldn't appear to be much of a scorer, but unlike "Kamakazi" Milt Palacio, may have some real point guard skills. I could not bear another season of Walker and Palacio at the point and Tinsley's stock is raising fast, we've seen estimates of his going as high as five. If you look at last years mock drafts, it was mainly the point guards who were drafted ahead of expectations.
