Second, if we are concerned about Walker's defense then we ought to take a

than Bostons.

Good work Joe; well documented, but just because Vancouver is not a good defensive team doesn't mean those two players are the worst.
Today's NBA is full of scorers, who don't work on defense, unlike Pierce. My recollection of Bibby is that he does. I really don't see enough of Vancouver to be sure.
On the other hand, with a few scorers, who can be inspired, by winning,to try harder, surrounded by a few defensive presences, a team can be quite effdective on defense, without all five being all-defensive players. Perhaps it was the supporting cast in Vancouver that was the problem.
I still am impressed with Rahim and Bibby as all around players, but obviously it doesn't elleviate the need for a shot blocker down low and perhaps another defensive force at the four. Could Battie shine at the power spot if Antoine were gone? With Rahim and Bibby to play with Pierce we could certainly afford defensive players at the other two positions. Players like Joe Johnson of Ohio State who may be available with the 21st pick. If you don't need scoring, it's easier to get a few defensive players for the post positions.
