Re: Walker performance vs Atl]

Forgive me if I get this wrong. You value his potential triple double then his
shooting percentage?

In my opinion, Walker as multi-skilled as he is, is a problem for our team. He
is one of two scoring options, and our best passer. I don't think he can
assist himself for a basket.

If he is going to be the triple-double threat, then we need another scorer
that take up some scoring load from him. OR a passer that can feed him the
ball for him to score.

I think its difficult making a team around a player so rounded. If he's going
to score, then someone just as rounded as Walker needs to be the passer. If
he's going to be the passer then someone has to score.

So far Pierce has stepped up his game, but eventually opposing teams will
double him whenever he gets the ball.

I'd been advocating Carr to play because I think he can flat out score
baskets. At least I was hoping before he got injured he could score when teams
double team Pierce.

At least this is my opinion though.

I didn't see the game, but I don't see how you
can dump on a guy for his stats on a night when
he is one assist away from a triple double. As
for his actual real-world performance, I can't
say. I did watch the first half of the game on the
ESPN game tracker, and I see where he missed
a bunch of four and five foot shots. That tells me
that he didn't "just float on the perimeter," and
the fact that he was 6-22 and only went to the line
twice suggests he got hammered.
