Peter May Says On WEEI:
- He knows that despite what Larry said last week,
Bird and Gaston are still talking about selling the team.
- Ted Sarandis adds that he's heard Gaston has a
rock bottom figure of $300 million.
- May mentions that if Gaston wants $350 million,
no one will be interested.
- May says the new Head of Basketball Operations will
decide the fate of O'Brien, Papile, and Wallace. The new
guy will want to bring in his own people.
- He's heard the usual suspects for that post: Ainge and
Embry.
- C's are still a bad team, and whether it's the Pacers or the Celtics,
they're
basically backing into the playoff spot.
- Bird would be the best choice to rejuvenate the team.
