Re: Walker at PF?

Great points Thomas. I'll add this... Mishra, the Celts may not have the
personnel to play Toine at SF today (because of Battie's injury), but my
point about moving Toine to SF is meant in terms of the direction of the
team. Build the team around Toine at SF and Pierce at SG. That means picking
up a power forward (or playing a healthy Battie there), and fewer minutes
for the Stith/Williams/Carr gang (is that a bad thing? Stith is a free agent
after all). The fundamental shift is much more significant than just calling
Toine a small forward all of a sudden.

Also, Toine isn't the only player this would help. We all know Battie is
undersized and has trouble against strong centers. But put him at power
forward, and don't you think he's on more level ground? I'm so tired of
always being on the wrong end of these size mismatches in the trenches.
Let's turn it around and make other teams adjust to our size.

If the team isn't willing to make that fundamental change in direction,
trade Toine this offseason. You can't win with an undersized,
perimeter-oriented power forward.
