Re: Wizards to select white at 1

Title: Re: Wizards to select white at 1
White at #1 actually makes sense. Jerry West supposedly stated he was the best player in the draft after seeing him in LA, and Jordan likes him. The Wizards would love to trade down to 6 with Vancouver, but chances are good Atlanta, Chicago, or Golden State would snatch White from him. So they will probably reach for him at #1 if he is really that high on him.  This could make things interesting.

If White goes 1, Curry #2, can the Hawks pass on Kwame Brown at 3? I doubt it, and think they would pick him then look to unload some of the frontcourt players they have? Would you move Antoine Walker for a chance at Kwame Brown? Or would this make an Anderson for Mohammed sign and trade package more feasible ?

LOL
I was using a reference to the old Patrick McGoohan character, "The Prisoner" who oddly enough found himself on an other  island, with a number instead of a name. His trademark obstinancy, while being interogated by his captors, was asking; "Who is # 1?"

I heard on a sports talk show this afternoon that the Wizards were going to take Rodney White with the number one pick and the Celtics were still trying to move up to #4 for Gasol.

This NBA draft could get better ratings than the Superbowl. There could be more wheeling and dealing than a wall street IPO. All they have to do is mike all of the principals and let it happen like on the island. Reality television.
