Damn furriners. I hate them all, with their different ways and different
ideas. Don't they know we should all act the same? Don't they know all
Americans are all ugly and boisterous, illiterate hayseeds that like
country and western music and marry their sisters? And the limeys? What
about them? Tea-sippin', patrician snobs. And the frogs? Don't get me
started. Why, we've seen with Moiso that they're all lazy,
good-for-nothin', layabouts. And African-Americans are all hip-hoppers,
gangbangers, and watermelon-chewin' criminals, right? They'll never
amount to much in the NBA, that's for sure. And Asian people probably can'
t see straight with those slanted eyes and all -- how could they shoot the
ball? Let's not even mention the Singaporeans (is that even a word?) --
OK, they make a good "sling" but they don't even know how to chew and
throw their gum on the street at the same time.
Corporeal-punishment-lovin', "take a cane to any ass that fits" bastards.
I say we keep the "spainairds" out of the NBA and other countries, too.
Keep 'em in that Pyrenees-, Portugal- and water-bordered ghetto they call
a nation. Damn paella-eatin', siesta-takin' lazy bastards. I just can't
imagine any of them being any damn good.

Wow. How offensive is this? I believe we've degenerated into the depths
of irrational prejudice with this one. I'm about the last person to be
described as politically correct, but basing an opinion of a player just
on the perceived national faults of his countrymen offends even me. Then
again, all "spainish" people who aren't played by such a he-man as Russell
Crowe obviously don't have the same work ethic as us (non-"spainaird")
folks. I invite the person who wrote this to get a new dictionary; yours
seems out-of-date or just plain wrong.

> We need to draft "defense-first" kind of player.

Lest this response be completely negative or sarcastic, I've got to say
that I agree with this: drafting players that can play good defense is a
really good idea. The team might be able to use another scorer, but if it
solidified its team defense, the Celtics would improve greatly. Good call.
Players who could give the team defense and some scoring, as well, would
be better still.
