Bibby, Dickerson and Austin for a selfish point like  Marbury? Damn, can we get in on this and move Walker and Battie for these 3 ? We put Bibby at the point, Dickerson at the 2, move PP to the 3 spot then we try to move up to get a Curry or Brown, or take a defensive player like Jefferson or a 2/3 like Johnson or Radmanovich and maybe a Randolph or Bradley at 10 & 11, or take a risk on a Cisse, Eze at 21.

Nets Ready to Shake and Bake?

New Jersey stinks.  Read into that what you may.  Whether it’s the air or their basketball team, New Jersey has problems.  Problems the rest of the NBA seems ready to take off their hands.  The word has been spreading for weeks that the Nets are shopping Keith Van Horn.  The most prevalent rumor, first reported by the Salt Lake Tribune, that the Jazz were in hot pursuit of Van Horn was shut down by Jazz VP Kevin O'Connor yesterday.  "At this time, there are no active discussions going on with the Nets," said Kevin O'Connor, the Jazz's vice president of basketball operations.

The Jazz may be finished with Van Horn (for the moment) but that won't stop the Nets from making radical changes this summer.  Insider has learned, from a NBA source, that the Grizzlies are talking with the Nets about a possible Stephon Marbury for Mike Bibby-Michael Dickerson-Ike Austin deal.  Any deal would have to wait until July 1st when Marbury lost his base year compensation status. The source told Insider that the Nets are willing to part with Marbury if they can land a more team orientated guard like Bibby.

There's more.  Insider has also learned that the Nets are eyeing disgruntled Sonics power forward Vin Baker.  According to the league source, the Nets feel they need a strong low post presence and Baker may be the only available big man, willing to come to New Jersey, who fits the bill. Baker, through his agent Aaron Goodwin, has demanded a trade this season.  Given his poor performance the last two years, his weight problems and his huge contract, moving him won't be easy.  Expect the Sonics to jump on any chance they get to ship Baker out of there.

So, is it possible that the Nets may have neither Van Horn nor Marbury back next year?  The league source told Insider that the Nets would prefer to move Van Horn, but that they will have more realistic offers for Marbury.  However, if the opportunity to trade both of them presents itself, don't be surprised if the Nets pull the trigger.
