Zach Attack
Disappointing news on Zach Randolph from NBATalk. He is costing himself a
lot of money by not taking the offseason workout process as seriously as
some of the other players (Troy Murphy, Steven Hunter, Loren Woods etc). I
wonder if Zach could fall to 21..
p.s. Did you all read that Shira Springer article on Kobe? Gawd.

Zach's Twinkie Attacks
One player you haven't been reading a lot about this draft season is
Michigan State freshman Zach Randolph. Randolph, who was considered by many
to be a lottery pick coming out of high school last year, is struggling to
get the buzz his teammate Jason Richardson has been getting the past few
months. He is, however, getting attention, just the wrong kind.
Several team sources told Insider that Randolph has been unimpressive in
workouts. One NBA scout told Insider that Randolph's wasn't in shape and
his conditioning is a source of concern for many teams in the league. "He's
fat and everyone's concerned it could be an ongoing problem," the scout
told Insider. Randolph who was brought along slowly by Tom Izzo this year,
was praised for his soft hands and ability to play down low. "He's a very
talented big man who could have a great future in the league," said the
scout. "But he may be the second coming of Tractor Traylor and that has
teams running for the hills."
Randolph has worked out for Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Boston, and Orlando.
Originally, Randolph was projected as top 13 pick in the draft. Now,
according to sources, he may be slipping into the late teens or early 20s
in the draft.
