trade news (not)

it seems more and more like we won't hear anything about
trades until draft night.  I mean, think about it.  If you were 
Michael (or Joe Dumars for that matter) and you wanted to
trade down for somebody in order to get him and another pick,
wouldn't you wait and see if he was available.  I suspect that 
we'll all be watching the TV, grimacing as David Stern says,
"with the tenth pick in the 2001 nba draft, the Boston Celtics
select...Jamal Tinsley of Iowa State University."  But then 
later he will say, "there has been a trade.  The Boston Celtics
have agreed to send the draft rights to Jamal Tinsley and Rodney
White to the Washington Wizards, in exchange for the draft 
rights to Kwame Brown."

Or something like that.  Meanwhile, 20 days seems like far too
long.
