the Celtics, according to a league source, are very interested
in moving up into the top five to take Gasol. Didn't Peter
May say the same thing?  Omar Cook is also intriguing
to Celtics Nation, as C's Coach O'Brien was very effusive
in his praise of him, saying he's NBA ready and "real quick",
but that he didn't know what the Celtics planned to do at
21. It's kind of odd to be so demonstrative before the draft,
about players you like in the draft. Usually, the platitudes
originate after the draft as you try to sell the pick to the
fans and media.

- Overpaid Celtic Walter McCarty apparently took advantage of the
extra-special services offered by Altanta's infamous Gold Club,
while as a rookie with the Knicks.

- And the Celtics most likely trade....

If they do deal up in the draft, expect it to be with the
Golden State Warriors with picks 10, 11, and possibly
21 heading to the Warriors for 5 and 14. You'll know
on draft day, if the Warriors take Pau Gasol at 5, and
the Celtics take Jamal Tinsley and Brendan Haywood
at 10 and 11.
