I'm Wowed By Brown

Not Kedrick Brown -- although he'll be a pretty good player in a middle
class
Jason Richardson sort of way -- but Kwame Brown. Young Kwame is going to
be an impact player, similar to Garnett.

What should impress you about Kwame is the following:

1) Smooth shot and outside stroke. Already a much better outside shooter
than
the Celtics power forward.

2) Great Quickness. In the Celtics game, he had no problem driving by Blount
and
Moiso. While those two are just back-up smucks, they're athletic tall quick
back-up
smucks. And yet Kwame was noticeably quicker.

3) Shows shot-blocking potential.

4) Kept a dreadful Washington in the game. That Wizards team, other
than Brown is awful, whereas the Celtics are stacked for a Summer League
club with three lottery picks and four first-rounders on the roster.

5) Can drive and pass off.

6. Not a twiggy boy. At 250, he already has an NBA's power forward's body,
and showed that he could bang underneath.

Yup, Kwame's going to be a great player. I would have traded all of the
Celtics draft picks to get Kwame, because there is a appreciable difference,
between the impact he will have in the NBA, and the impact the
Celtics draft choices have. And of course, he would have filled the Celtics
need for a legitimate power foward.
