I don't get it - why does everything have to be racial with you, Joe? If the
cop had been white, then the cop, Battie, or both, are racist. If they're both
black, then it's "intra-racial disrespect". Maybe you know something I don't.
But my guess is the pig was simply doing what pigs often do - harass people for
no other reason than that they can. The cop is working a a lucrative detail,
sees a young millionaire ballplayer pulling up in his fancy SUV, and decides to
show him who's the boss. Tony, being what he is, wants to hear none of it,
shuts his window, and starts rolling away. Or maybe the cop had a legitimate
complaint. In any case, I don't see why this incident is simply not a case of
the cop, Battie, or both, overstepping their boundaries because of, shall we
say, tendencies common in their respective occupations.
