Things are looking better already.....or at least looking different already.
I'm happy for the team to try and fail again, so long as they try something
dramatic. Standing pat in amidst mediocrity is a tough spot to be in. The
team isn't bad enough to only win 10-15 games again, and be in a position to
land a top 3 pick. Neither are they good enough to make the playoffs. That
leaves us in the wildcard lottery picking spots or around 9-13. Granted
there are talented players around at this point, but picking one, and
turning him into a all-star is a different story entirely. I don't think
we're currently one or two players away from being a contender. My personal
opinion is that Pitino picked the wrong team to build a player around.
Whether clouded by loyalty or an inflated opinion of his own abilities to
"coach" any team to victory, Walker is not the stuff of which champion teams
are led by.
