bskball: Ainge at top of list

01/16-late-DANNY A WILL TALK TO C's- While former Suns coach Danny Ainge
says he hasn't been contacted directly or indirectly involving the Celtics
director of operation job, the press has done all the feeling for the
Celtics. Sources near the team are telling anyone who'll listen, that
Danny's name is at the top of a very short list and should Danny be serious
about taking the job it is likely his to turn down. The Celtics hope to hire
a new head of operations almost immediately, and allow that person to get
acclimated to the team and staff before contracts expire of existing staff
members. If Ainge does indeed take the job, it is very likely that radical
changes in the team structure are made including the exit of Antoine Walker,
who Ainge has gone on record as saying was the main reason the Celtics had
struggled under Rick Pitino.
