I still believe that Pitino's coaching will be determined a failure over
time.  Not just the GM moves, which with the exception of a couple trades,
may have been the best he could do with what he had.

I still believe that he felt his "system" was more important then match ups
with individual players.

The comments by Stith in the paper today about watching 45 to 60 min. of
game tape which is 30 min longer then usual, will prove to be a telling
remark of the "teaching" style of Pitino.

The good news was Pond being quoted as saying that he felt Gaston and Bird
could put their issues behind them and work together.  I could live with
that.
