"What did he [Pitino] do that was so wrong?" 1. He failed to even try to discipline Walker by sitting him, not starting him, etc., etc. 2. He gave him a huge contract, rather than finding out whether he could be disciplined, and, if he concluded he could not be, trading him instead. Permissiveness is as counter-productive in coaching as it is in raising kids.
