2001 restructuring plan
There are still a lot of rumors regarding the
Grizzlies restructuring.
I think the Bull's still have cap room to make this
move. All three teams aren't really going anywhere and need a
chemistry change.
Walker to Chicago
Brand, the Utah and Boston picks (top 3
protected) , & Jamal Crawford to Vancouver ( Try to move
Anderson instead of the picks)
Bibby, Rahim, and Harrington to the
C's
These picks will probably be mid to late teens and
don't do us any good. I will take a proven young point and a 20/10 guy.
Walker for Rahim is a swap. Both have their strengths & weaknesses. We
need some proven commodities not a crapshoot.
Maybe include VP and Brad Miller
?
If we can't move Kenny to Vancouver or get
Bibby, consider moving him to Washington for Strickland, Golden State for
Blaylock, or Milwaukee for Cassell 3 proven points that could provide the
veteran leadership he has not.
If VP is not included, try again to move
him to Denver with their pick (top 3 protected) for Lafrentz or
without it maybe Keon Clark and Mark Strickland ? GS for Dampier? Kevin
Willis?
A nucleus of Bibby, Rahim, Pierce & Lafrentz
with the right coach and a veteran leader or two like a Ron Harper could be
pretty effective. Harrington adds a more physical inside presence VP was
expected to add. I think Vancouver has the same problem we have,
some talented youth but no veteran leadership.
If Pitino does walk away try once again to get
Coach K out of Duke. Although he has no pro experience he seems to have a better
relationship with his payers, is less arrogant than Pitino, and his
philosophy less an aberration.
