nice take from bskball.com

BOSTON- The Celtics had some last minute offers, and there were some talks,
but bottom line around the C's was they were winning games, and didn't feel
the need or pressure to make a mid-season trade. The secondary and tertiary
motivations were keeping enough varied talent to lure top talent to the
management and coaching position (although Jim O'Brien looks like a lock to
keep the coaching job) and avoiding luxury tax implications. The C's toyed
with a few things to clean out the cap a bit, but backed away in favor of
not changing what was working.OVERALL: Very smart on their part, they hold
three 1st rounders this year, have a quality stable of young emerging
talent, and a few nice veterans. They have a strong draft and pick up a
decent free agent or two and they are a team to fear.
