Re: The Win

I taped the second half and replayed the Walker comments. The announcers
were talking over him so it is hard to make it out. However, I believe
someone asked him what he thought about not making the all-star game. He
responded with a Muhummad Ali routine about him being the real deal and
something about everytime he thinks about it, he goes out and wins a game.
Interesting for motivation...

Thoughts on the refs. Yes, Celtic hater Mike Mathis on was the game. However,
I think we found a team the refs hate more than the Celts and that is the
Jail-Blazers. Not that they don't deserve it with Wallace and crew's whining
and complaining over the last couple of years. But instead of the home crowd
getting the calls, it seemed to me that the opposite happened, we got all the
calls. Maybe also the refs will reward a team that is working hard, playing
like a team. Life isn't always fair. In baseball, they always get the double
play even if they don't touch the bag at second as long as there are smooth
relays. We are on a roll and good things happen to good teams...

Also, we beat the Blazers on a down day for Pierce...You got to wonder why
they didn't keep going back to Wallace. This is a defensive weakness of ours
and they could of gotten Walker into severe foul trouble and that would have
killed us with Pierce having shooting problems. However, they got so much
talent that they didn't seach out the best matchup to our benefit...
