The didn't just quit on Pitino. They quit on you, me and everyone else on
the list, in the Fleet Centre and watching/listening to the broadcasts. If
they didn't give their all in games because they hated Pitino - which in my
opinion is the case, then I feel cheated, and so should any Celtics fan.
Your problems with your coach shouldn't transcend onto the court. If you
hate the coach, ask for a trade, go public with it. Hell, it worked even for
Kenny Anderson, who didn't want a bar of Toronto.

There is a massive difference in relation to the Magic/Larry problems
compared to the current batch of Celtics. Larry Bird may not have liked his
coach, but do you think he'd sacrifice his team's chances of winning games
to spite him? Would Magic do the same? Would Michael Jordan not give his
best because he didn't like Doug Collins?

The chances are one of our Celtics has a big mouth and the truth may well
come out one day on what actually happened. I look forward to hearing that
story.

Just my 2 pence,

Simon
