Lucky

Dan mentioned "Lucky" in his post - he's never seen on the TV telecasts (thank God for small favors) and I've often been surprised, but grateful for that.  Don't have any idea if people think he's funny, or adds anything - perhaps someone could enlighten me?  I never thought a mascot was necessary, but am willing to listen to opinions.
