Re: Omar Cook waived

Well that's a good point. I was thinking that waiving R. Brown may be the
solution with signing Cook at the min. for a couple years. Kind of a swap
with upside. This guy had very good numbers in college and the Celtics had
interest in him before the draft. He must know "how" to play to be a
double/double PG as a freshman. I'm wondering what the scoop on him is now
and why he can't stick anywhere.

A big man who could add more help then Blount would be my #1 choice for
improving the team right now. I thought Blount was going to step up and add
more then he has so far. It would be great if he did make the leap, but I
can't tell if he is still learning or has hit the high point of his
abilities. We need a guy who can compete for Battie's minutes so Battie can
give Walker more of a breather during the game and allow different match
ups. Plus I would think the competition would help Battie's game as well.

Strickland has shown me he can and will play tough basketball. Also that he
is versatile by spending time at the PG and the two. Palacio has
disappointed recently.

It will be interesting to see what happens as we near the trading deadline.
There are some players who have shown new value that may fill in spots for
other teams. Is there a combo deal that will bring the 1 or 5 of the future
that won't upset what they've accomplished together? Or a salary cap move
that doesn't set the team back?
