Re: BSG's take/Future trade

I'm not sold on the Van Exel deal. He is thirty years old (same as Kenny),
with that extra year on his contract and I'm not sure he brings the same
creative point mentality that Kenny has matured to. He can score in a shit
storm though, you are right.
Sura and Jackson? Yes, but remember Jackson will want a five year deal,
so anyone pulling off this trade had better really think he can take us to
the next level and compete with the better centers. Otherwise plan A, using
Anderson's money in 2003 to woo/sign Jermaine O'Niel may be smarter.

Would a Anderson for Van Exel move or package be feasible? Their contracts
are probably comparable and with Anderson's contract ending soon this could
be a positive for some teams looking to free up cap room. I am not sure a
bunch of cap room would help the Nuggets attract players though.

I like Nick as a bonified third scoring option against teams like the Bucks
but still not completely sold on this one. But who would be better in
rekindling the Celtic Laker rivalry?

When it was mentioned "Forte & Brown our part of our future plans" this did
not mean they could not have been picks as part of a plan to add trade value
to make move for veteran players. I am wiling to wait on Brown, Forte I say
move in a package for a veteran. Plug in a veteran scoring 2 or a physical
4/5 to let Walker and Pierce slide to the 3 & 2 spots and this team can
match up with anyone. That why I like the Marc Jackson and Sura idea. They
are available and can gives what we need without giving up a lot. Jackson
put up 16/10 last year. How many centers will give you this at his price?
