My take on the Moiso deal

Here are my comments regarding the "unleashing of the poodle":

We got just about as much as Houston got for Hakeem in their sign & trade
(Toronto's 2nd rounder in '02 & 1st rounder in '03).

McLeod is redundant but will help ease the pressure on the rookies.

We not only save money next year but have another roster spot free.

We can use that pick after we clear much of the debris on our roster and our 
rookies have matured.

Moiso was not going to help or even play in all likelihood.

Just because Wallace made the trade for Philly doesn't mean he didn't explore 
other options. Reading the posts of late it seems like we think that Philly 
called Wallace and he suddenly felt he could spare Moiso. I'm sure they hoped 
to showcase him at Shaw's but he once again under achieved, playing even less 
effectively than at last year's summer league. If I were to trade VP or 
Battie, for instance, I think I'd get more value for them if they left their 
poodle at home.
