I don't know what the rationale is for the trade because RM can sit on an injury list just as well as JM.  There may be salary implications but how about this scenario:

The trade for RM and a first rounder will be used in a sign and trade with Golden State for Mark Jackson.  If you take it further by a step: RM, the draft pick, a point guard such as Rbrown, for Mookie, and Mark Jackson.  Any thoughts?
