Wallace & Papile Wanted To Keep Wesley



Peter May will reveal in tomorrow's Globe,
via quotes from David Wesley's agent: Frank Catapano,
that  Chris Wallace and Leo Papile wanted to
re-sign Wesley, and that Pitino who didn't, listened
to the wrong people, who told him that Wesley wasn't
event worth $1 million.

Catapano also tried to persuade Pitino to bring in
Haywood Workman as a cheaper alternative to Randy
Brown.

May also reports that Red Auerbach's President title will
be returned shortly to him.
