Chris Wallace Strikes Again

Wallace was on WEEI this morning with Callahan and Dennis
and said the following:

- He answers to Paul Gaston. Wallace says he's in charge of
personnel decisions, as regards the players.

- Likes how Jim O'Brien gets along real well with Walker and Pierce.

- Antoine is going to play some point guard next season.

- The Celtics need to find another scorer to compliment Pierce and
Walker.

- Looks for Kenny to bounce back, and feels his skills work well
with the zone.

- O'Brien defined the players roles.

-  The C's have very fine team chemistry.

- The draft may or may not yield the Celtics a point guard - not
going to force the issue.

- Says they have three tasks in the coming days:

1) Evaluate the Denver pick: Use it or keep it.

2) Evaluate their own free agents.

3) Gear up for the draft.

- Celtics are fine at center.

- Vitaly isn't in the top 25 as regards salaries paid to centers.

- One player in the NBA makes a bigger difference than in the other
pro sports.

- C's may use all three picks: Cites the Clippers and their improvement
this past season, after they had multiple first round picks.
Ray
