why Laettner?

I think Laettner is on the downhill trend, so why sign such? and I don't think
he is the ideal verteran presence in the locker room for our young team. If the
reason for signing a Power Forward so that AW can move to PG/SF, we have loads
of pseudo-centers -Battie, V, Moiso- who are PFs in disguise.
