Re: Catching up

First, Congrates on your new daughter. Hope all involved are happy and
healthy.

Second, I have to agree. After messing up this team with the first "house
clearing" when he took over, to the first blown draft and some other
questionable trades/signing's in his career as President/coach. This is the
best group Pitino has brought together.

He is either lucky, learning or listening to someone else this year. (Of
course I still think that the Anderson trade was a wink, wink with Falk and
we were supposed to end up with Marbury in the end)

But really, you have to like the addition of Stith, Herren, Blount, Brown,
the future draft picks and unloading some contracts. Moiso might be a
player. Pierce looks ready to take the next step. Battie "says" he wants
to take the next step. VP has improved. Griffen looks to be back in 1st
half form.

With the exception of adding one of the big free agents that were available
or the second tier (Chrosure, Mercer who we had actually had a chance at)
these were solid pick ups without bloated contracts.

There are still problems to deal with and a team won't go far in the post
season without three real all stars of which we may have one.

But it's progress. <Jim
