Sam Smith on Chris Carr and Pitino

In Boston, Chris Carr signed on with the Celtics. You mean they're
stocking up with former Bulls in what figures to be GM/coach Rick
Pitino's last season? Carr blasted Bulls management, saying, "The
management there is confused. I don't think that they really knew what
they wanted. It was a long shot that they were going to get the players
they went after. Then Plan B and C fell through, and now they're
shuffling to sign guys. Everybody sees where your loyalty lies with
other people, and that factors into the decision-making. MJ, Scottie,
they were pretty much cast by the wayside once they decided it was their
time to leave, and they were forced into leaving. Other guys see that
now." Wonder how Carr knew what was going on inasmuch as he never knew
anyone else was on the court the way he shot every time. Meanwhile,
speculation is Pitino will find his way to Indiana as Knight's
successor.
