Re: sixers

I only saw the first game against the Wizards, last Wednesday. From the
perspective of that game, I'd say that Herren is going to be a fine
offensive player, but he was really eaten alive on the defensive end by
Strickland. He was always a step behind the man he was trying to guard.
I'm not a coach though, so I won't speculate if it was because of
positioning, physical condition, or whatever. If someone else wants to
comment on Herren's D, they're welcome to it.

We shouldn't worry about Herren's O, from what I've seen. He plays an
uptempo game, and really passes well. His teammates (esp Vitaly and Battie)
need to get used to the idea that they might actually get a pass when this
PG drives the lane. In the game I saw, V and Battie both fumbled easy
passes because they weren't ready to receive one. Is this a Kenny Anderson
factor?

In the final analysis, if the C's can get rid of Anderson, go do it. I'm ok
with Herren. Brown or Brunson should come in when the C's need a defensive
stop, however, if the game I saw is any indication.
