<<<<<The reason that I'm not down on Chris Herren for the way that he
performed tonight is the fact that I've seen Kenny Anderson play much the
same way that Chris played tonight and to me thats a sign that Chris
Herren at his worst is at the level that Kenny Anderson typically plays at
when we lose (more than half the time last season). He also has time to work
on improving his worst and his best which I am sure he will and at his best
he already has produced two wins (out of three real games)for the Celts.>>>>

I have no doubt that was an off night for Herren.
But ummmm...

Kenny does not typically play at that level.
I looked through the season splits last year.
I didn't see any games where Kenny played that bad.
Exactly what game were you referring to?

I think its sheer nonsense that Kenny frequently played
that badly, and that's why the Celtics lost so often.
I have never seen him play that badly. In fact
I remember several nights where Kenny outplayed the go
to players of the team last year.

Perhaps you can provide some stats or remind of us
some games where you remember Kenny putting up similiar
statistics. He must be pretty Jekyl and Hide though since he average 14.0
scoring last year and five assists.

Actually, I dont think its the point guard at all.

The Celtics lose simply when they shoot a very low
percentage. Its not always the point guard's fault
when Walker or Pierce shoots poorly. Sometimes ahem..
its Walker's fault or its Pierce's fault for shooting
poorly.

Sometimes the fact that players miss open shots contributes to a point guards
low amount of assists.
Its a team game, and in a bad loss there is usually
more then one person at fault.

Let me present a different point of view...
and I encourage you to think about it. Just maybe
the Celtics are weak at Center, lack a legit power
forward and its not the point guard who is at fault.

Kenny Anderson is a extremely talented player.
He is probably as talented then either Walker or Pierce,
if not more so.
