Josh, Cecil and Dan,

I implore you.  Please use some common sense.  You guys have just copied the
entire pathetic thread and its offensive subject line to the list four times
while trying to get the discussion back on basketball.  Nice thought, but
DUMB, DUMB, DUMB, DUMB execution!  Smack yourselves in the forehead three
times, please.

This whole mess is really leaving a bad taste in my mouth.  We've got more
bickering than Celtics discussion going on here now.  I know Paul is
attempting to do something about that, but we've reached a stage where
people are being removed from the list for replying to flame seekers too
aggressively.  This has gone beyond Greg Odegaard.

My personal opinion, which admittedly means nothing in this matter, is that
perhaps the list should be suspended for a few weeks if this continues.
Maybe that would give people a little time to cool down and realize what the
list is here for.  Maybe the people who only come here to make trouble would
get bored and go find someone else to bother.  I have a suspicion that part
of the problem is that this caustic atmosphere is driving away a lot of the
people who used to sustain the list with intelligent, Celtics related
discussion.  I think it needs to be stopped now, before there is nobody left
besides a few of us flinging insults at each other.  We really do risk
losing this list altogether.

For my own part, because I think I need this myself, I will not be
contributing to the list until at least the end of the month.  I'll lurk,
and hope that the problems I've spoken of start working themselves out.  I
think A LOT of people we love hearing from have done this themselves,
without the fanfare.  I don't expect anyone to care any more about me doing
this.  I only want to make a point that this is what is happening to a good
many of the people that made this list worth reading in the first place.
