Re: Cavs loss

Kenny was not shooting well, but he was not taking bad shots. Two of his
misses came on a blown layup (in traffic), after which he got the rebound
and missed a putback. He only took a handful of outside dhots, but he
seems to be front rimming them. I thought I remembered Pitino
substituting Brown in at least once during the last 2 minutes in an
"oiffense-defense" situation. Not sure why he didn't continue the
pattern, but it might have been the flow of the game.

There are a lot of reasons to be unhappy with KA, but he hasn't played as
badly as most people seem to think. Brown cannot play 30 minutes per
night without breaking down, and we shouldn't get too high on Herren based
on one pre-season game. Remember, Issel traded him and took on a bad
contract because he didn't think Chrissie could crack the Van Exel - Pack
rotation. I hope Herren does well, but I'm not prepared to designate him
our savior until he's had a chance to work into the system.

On another note, you can't fault Pitino for his player evaluation. Alvin
Williams just dropped 20 points in back to back efforts.
