RE: Detroit game

The problem is that V hasn't added anything to his game since last year.
He's beefed himself up to play football, not basketball.

He cant catch the ball, he cant dribble, he is _reluctant_ to shoot the
ball. He developed no MOVES for when he gets the ball down low.

Vitaly refuses to dunk the ball. He continues to WIND UP when he jumps,
which telegraphs his intentions. In the game, he was clobbered over the
head once when he did that. In another instance, he fell on a shooter and
fouled him.

He never gets into the _right_ position to rebound. And when he goes to
rebound, he WINDS up, first, and since he cant catch the ball, even when he
_might_ get a rebound, he doesn't get the ball.

Name me one thing Vitaly can do well?

Last year, the team got him his shots. They got him the pic and roll plays.
This year, he doesn't fit into the offensive schemes the team seems to be
using.

If his stone hands continue to have passes bounce off them, then team
members will be reluctant to pass to him.

I really like the guy, but he doesn't seem to get it. I really wonder what
he thinks he did to prepare in the offseason. He also passes so poorly,
that he often causes turnovers.

My bottom line on Vitaly is this: he now hurts the team more than he helps
the team.

Shouldn't we wait, say, 10-15 games before being so quick with the trigger
finger. Battie has had good games in the past.
