Re: Martin, Fizer, etc

I don't consider myself a Walker hater but just do not think he has shown he
can play the 3 or 4 spot and that is a problem when you are paying $9M a
year for a tweener who can't play D. As far as consistency , I don't see how
you can say he has been, when 5-15, 4-14 days are quite common for him. I
expect a few, but not as many as he puts up. Yes the other have too, but
their not getting $9M a year . I definitely would not move him unless we get
comparable talent in return. Martin although he has not shown it in the
pro's definitely has more hops and defensive ability than Walker, who has
next to none ! I have the direct TV & think I have seen him dunk once or
twice in 3 years. At the 4 you have to be aggressive to the hoop and finish
a la Malone, Wallace, & Garnett.

Would you take a chance on the next Tim Duncan or Shaq ? If Eddie Curry is
what they say, chances are he could go #1, hopefully not to the Clippers to
turn into the next Benoit Benjamin or Olowkandi.

This team needs to add some proven veterans but it may not be an easy thing
to do with Pitino's style.

I do think Anderson & Fortson will be gone, Battie and Barros also if he can
find a taker. Walker may be also if the right offer comes around.
