Auerbach Won't Sit on the Bandwagon

LOS ANGELES, June 19 -- Phil Jackson won his seventh championship in
nine seasons last night. When the Los Angeles Lakers found a way to get
past the Indiana Pacers, 116-111, their coach had won a title without
the greatest player in the history of the National Basketball
Association.

So, irrespective of what his supporters and detractors think, he can do
it without Michael. People are talking about his genius -- his ability
to get his players to perform at their highest levels -- in the same
vein they once talked about Red Auerbach, whose Boston Celtics won 11
titles in 13 years.

You wonder what Red thinks.
