Foul shots
The Lakers shot 37 foul throws and Portland shot 16. And that was
on 32 fouls for Portland, with 25 on LA. Also, Pippin and Sabonis
fouled out, but noone on LA was close. So, from paper, it looks
like the type of fouls called, shooting vs non-shooting, and who
fouls were called on that the game was influenced by the refs.
On the other hand, the shooting of Smith, Pippin and Sabonis had a
lot to do with the outcome of the game.
