Re: effect of Duncan staying put

Here is some humor for you: Try the Mighty 690 !

http://www.suntimes.com/output/bulls/bull12.html

The Bulls missed out on Duncan, but they apparently already have their Plan
B center in place. During their weekend negotiations with McGrady, the Bulls
told him they would like to have Portland's Jermaine O'Neal on the roster
this season, according to a source familiar with the negotiations.

It has been reported that an O'Neal-for-Marcus Fizer trade already has been
agreed to and will be announced after Aug. 1, when O'Neal's contractual
situation with the Trail Blazers makes him easier to trade.

Krause has denied such a deal is in place. It's possible that instead of
Fizer, the Bulls will deal Jamal Crawford, whom the Bulls obtained by
trading No. 7 draft pick Chris Mihm to Cleveland. The Blazers had tried to
work their way up on draft day to select Crawford and may be willing to take
Corey Benjamin's contract off the Bulls' hands in a package deal.

The 6-11 O'Neal, who has been the target of the Bulls' attention for three
years, decided at the last minute last week against playing for Portland in
its summer league and has asked the team to trade him.

Some other interesting rumors about Fortson , Grant

Eddie Curry & Tyson Chandler in 2001. I hope Denver sucks big time this year
!

Freakin' Lakers Lakers are after Amaechi.

Anyone for Fortson and Cheaney or Barros for Patterson or Dez Mason & O2

Another quote

The Warriors are making a strong pitch to re-sign free agent Adonal Foyle,
who is being pursued by five or six teams, including the Boston Celtics and
Los Angeles Lakers. Foyle, who has been working out at the Warriors'
practice facility nearly every day and is set to attend Pete Newell's Big
Man Camp in Hawaii next month, said yesterday from Oakland that he has
``strong interest'' in returning to Golden State.

Sad news former Cuse player Conrad McRae died after collapsing in practice.

"All over where"? Living in Portland and absorbing sports radio, I haven't
heard of it out here. Certainly "we" don't monitor every teams rumors on
this teams list, but still wouldn't think Claudia would have something to
say about this, I mean isn't that "her" job?

Humor this stupid fan, and please at least give me some further
documentation to your rumor. Thanks in advance,
Greg
