Fortson to Knicks stalled

It looks like the Fortson to the Knicks talks have stalled. From today's NY 
Daily News:

<As for Fortson and Williams, the Knicks are using their $2.25 million 
exception to try to attract either player to New York. They have tried 
stealing Fortson from Boston in a complicated sign-and-trade for Chris 
Childs but the Celtics are not interested. 

The Knicks, despite what has been reported, have no intentions of 
trading Erick Strickland for Fortson. Plus, Fortson, who cannot even 
start for the hapless Celtics, is seen only a role player who would play 
limited minutes. He is not, as some have touted him, the answer to the 
Knicks' problems.>
